What does this cause?
War crimes done by a soldier causes many issues. One, for example, causes the nation to look very bad. Image for a nation is very important because it can cause certain nations to want to trade with them or the image can cause other countries to attack. Other nations can help a single nation if they feel like the war crime done to them is horrible enough. For example, during WWII, America, Britain, France, and Russia signed an agreement that linked them together, while German, Japan, and Italy linked together. What if Germans killed and raped an American soldier and America decided to attack? Then WWIII would start, all because 1 soldier committed a war crime and the alliances of other nations would help contribute to the war.
